It cut hardly be thought the je-noteut probability; that the State Democratic ticket to be named at Greensboro next Week, could fall of being auocessful at tbe poll next Norember. In the State ticket, with no contest) outside the gubernatorial, the fight has become rather bitter between the friends of the two leading candidates, which does the party no good, and each bitter ness before this has led to dtsastrons re sults to the candidates most con earned. In the Congressional districts there are no signs of strife among Democrats, and the fight for success Is one against the political enemy, not within the par ty ranks. Democratic weakness in North Caro ltno lies In theponderousneisof Its suc cesses, and this Is Jtot surprising, for continued fifty and ilxty thousand ma jorities Is certain to breed over confi dence, and with It a party depotlsm, a domineering and dominating party lead ership, which feels secure Jn Its position because it reckons upon an assured big majority following to support and do its bidding. Such a political condition rapidly creates part dissensions. It develops aspirants seeking the sure things. It provokes personal enimltles at tlie pri mary, which Increases until open re volt follows at the polls. There Is nothing new in this. It is but a repetition In our political history, It Is the proven answer certain in the party problem Given an overwhelm ing majority, and the result is party dissatisfaction, political corruption, and Internal disaster. There is no fsult In Democratic prin ciples, which need cause fear. It Is the failure to remember that such principles exist, and that their carrying oat Is the basis upon which a party can succeed, upon which It has a right to expect to secure a following and to win at the polls. But when principles are given sec ondary consideration, and previous par ty majorities are solely relied upon to continue a party in office, there is an end In sight which means disaster to the party. There Is more Catarrh in this section of the country than all other diseases put together, and until the last few years supposed to be incurable. For a great many years doctors pronounced It a local disease and prescribed loc al rem edies, and by constantly failing to cure with local , treatment, pronounced it Incurable. Science has proven catarrh to be a constitutional deseaae and there fore required constitutional treatment Ball's Catarrh Curt, manufactured by 7 J Cheney ft Co, Toledo, Ohio, Is the only constitutional ear on the market, It Is taken Internally la doees ton 10 dropeioataaspooafol. It acta dtreoily on the blood and aauoous surfaces of the system. They offer on hundred dollars for any case it fails to curs, Bend for circulars and testimonials. F. J. CinuiKY ft CO, Toledo, O.
