Important Meeting of The Daughter ' Yesterday the special business meet ing of the Daughters was well attend ed and a lively interest was manifested in the subjects under consideration. The meeting was called to order at 11.30 o'clock by the President, Mrs. Francis S. Duffy. The business in hand was to appoint an orator for the tenth of May and to put before the chapter three propositions made by Commander J. Wolfenden, namely: would the chapter go in a body to the funeral of any veteran; bare a union meeting once a month with the veterans, and would chapter assist In entertaining the gov- ernor of New Jersey . and the governor of North Carolina and his staff who are to be in this city at the unveiling of the New Jersey monument hi the National cemetery which takes place in the first week of May.
