Stealing Church Money Editor Journal . 1 Please allow me space in your paper to make this interesting statement: wired the Raleigh News and Observer today: 'It is a lie I was excommuni cated for stealing church money and it must retract or be sued for one hun drod thousand dollars at onco. ' " ' P. S.-It is true I paid fifty dollars debt for St Cyprian Church aome time last summer to be paid back to me, if I could collect it myself from the public by Bubscription. Now, I have never collected nfty dollars myself to re-im- burse the fifty dollars paid out by me for the church. I want the News and Observer to explain where the stealing on my part comes in at At the prop er time I will explain to the public by a bill of particulars. Signed: I. H. SMITH. Ji..
