The deft touches required are impart ea wiui a master nana wnue every gesture, every facial expression and every intonation of voice bespeaks an artist's in-sight ' into the character shown. Mr Peruchi is supported by Miss Mable Gypzene, the bright and dainty little comedian who is bound to .make an instantaneous hit. She is womanly and sweet. Her gaiety is in fections, her smile winning, her man ner delightful, and the, transitions from lightness to impetuousness in the dif ferent character she portrays is clever ly shown. The management has sur rounded the leads with a competent company of recognized artists The play selected for Monday night is "In the Devil's Web." It is a sensational drama, but has been constructed on original lines with a touch of real humor that is- at all times refreshing. This accounts for the fact that it is one of the greatest successes of the stage at the present time. Every where it is greeted as a masterpiece of realism. Its story is interestingly told while the comedy that is interspersed in liberal quantities lends a brightness and cheerfulness that is all its own. It blends sentiments heroics, comedy and picturesqueness in the most skillful ashion. Close attention has been paid to all the details and the production can appropriately be called complete every respect, l he plays do not con stitute all the entertainment offered, The vaudeville numbers should have special mention. They have been se lected with great care.
