Or ganization Talk and Black burn's Prediction. (Special Correspondence.) Greensboro, May 28. Greensboro has no cause of complaint at the outcome of the session of the Republican State Ex ecutive Committee here Saturday since it got both the convention and the chairman without difficulty. Retiring Chairman Rollins seemed in a happy frame of mmd after having cast off the irksome and thank less responsibilities of his position and seemed delighted at what he termed the evidence of the great confidence felt in him by the refusal of the com mittee to accept his resignation and its adoption of the following resolutions : Whereas, Hon Thomas S. Rollins, the Chairman of the. Republican State Executive Committee in and for the State of North Carolina, has rendered the patty honest faithful and efficient services during his tenure as chairman of said committee, and whereas, the committee appreciates the services of Mr. Rollins as its chairman : Resolved, That we the committee hereby endorse him and his course, and respectfully recommend that the State Republican Convention re-elect him as of the party in the State for the ensuing two years from the date of the State Convention, having as we do abiding faith in his integrity as a man of his loyalty as a Republican, and his high conception of civic righteousness. As we deplore all attacks made upon the Republican or ganization as unfortunate and unjust. 'I he committee wa3 in session until six o'clock, when an adjournment was taken until seven o'clock. The night session lasted two hours and when it adjourned it was learned that Judge Spencer B. Adams of Greensboro, had been selected as chairman of the com mittee to fill the place of va cancy caused by the resignation of Chairman Thomas S. Rollins. It was learned tnat at the afternoon ses sion Mr. Rollins tendered his resigna tion as chairman, and the committee refused to accept it, passing resolutions of endorsement of his course and high appreciation of his services as chair man. At the night session he peremp torily resigned and Judge Adams was elected in his place. There was a large number of inter ested outaiders visiting here. Repub licans from all over the State were on hand, prominent among them being District Attorney Holton of Winston, George Patterson of Concord, II. E. Young of Robersonville, Isaac Meekina of Elizabeth City, H. L, Grant of Hal elgh, Col. H. C. Cowles of Statoaville, G. B. Hughee of Graham, Jack Al bright of . Mt. Airy, Postmaster Han cock of New Bern and many othrs. It wo noticeable that all who talked "or ganizs'ion talk" were office holders and all who talked "Blackburn" were non-office holders. If that alignment exists all over the State it can readily be aoon that Mr. Blackburn's predic tion that ho il be able to control th State Convention la no id l boost for tbooe holding no office certainly out number th office holding fraternity and their immediate riativa and friends. - FROM I a HACKBURN AND YOU WILL HAVE A Delicioes Gyp of Tea will prticlp.t in this flaaalth anion depot bora.
