Several boys were hauled up ln Jus tice of the Peace 8. R. Stret's court yesterday for stealing brick. They ad mitted the theft, and Implicated about twenty other boys, White and colored, for the same offense. Brick stealiltg le getting to be quite an industry It seems. Boys don't hesitate to knock th em off walls or tear them from pil lars beneath structures. There seems to be a good demand for the stolen brick, too. The boys say that they ean get five cents for very thrrteen they deliver, two cents for five, and so on. This stealing has been golpg on for some time, until it has become very annoying and ought to be broken up. If the buyers of these brick know or suspect that they are stolen, they ought to be punished as well at the boys. - H. Gordoa Kenna, J. R.
