As the policeman opened the door lead ing to the roof the dog jumped for hia throat. Nieman shot it in midair, the bullet lodging in the animal's skull and killing it instantly. The policeman carried the dbp's body to the station house. It will be sent to the Health Board to determine .whether or' not the brute had rabie?.
