Mann and Robert Boyd two colored denizens of Frog Pond, were giyen a hearing on a warrant, charging them with being disorderly within the city limits. After hearing the evidence in the case Mayor McCarthy dectfed that they were both guilty and a fine of $10.00 and the cost of the trial waa placed on Mann while Boyd was dismiss ed upon the payment of the cost of the trial. Some miscreant scattered a handful of 82 calibre cartridges on Craven street yesterday afternoon and as a result several of them were discharged by being, run over by a heavy wagon. Such pranks as this sometimes prove to be serious. If some -one had been struck by one of the t ullets the person who placed the cartridge there would doubttes have regretted the affair. Fortunately no damage was caused by uiy of the missiles. . Easter has come and gone; we had a lovely day for it, our Sunday school waa well attended, and Rev. J. M. Wright gave oa, a splendid sermon in the morn ing and at night the Sunday school had an Eactr service in the church, which was filled to Its utmost . long before the services began. The children did well in the exercises. There were two prizes offered to the ones that raised the lar treat amount to the Easter offering.
