Quite an improvement has been made on the ground by the addition of more than 100 loads of dirt around the old building; both of the other buildings is to be treated likewise as fast as the dirt con be obtained. The manual training pupils mad the foot lights for tha stage, and this week when some curtains were needed for the stage the girls in the domestic sci ence department made them complete. Sixteen of thb H. S. boya and girls have been practicing for some time on the play "The Merchant of Venice 'up to Date," which will be given on Wed nesday night Dec. 21. The play will be given for the benefit of the school magazine, The Athenian. The play is full of life and very interesting. Bach grade in the old building, the 1st advanced, 2B and 2C will have some simple ChristmaB exercises in the grade room on Wednesday.
