V. S. BLOUNT A telephone message received here yesterday morning announced the death of Mr. William Shaipc Blount at his omc in C.rifton. Mr. Blount had been ill for seviial weeks and his death was not unexpected. Mrs. Blount who has been visiting her daughters, Mrs. 'I hos. Kehoe and Mrs. Fred Whitty, re turned home several days ago and was at her husband s side when the end came. The funeral will be conducted at Grifton this afternoon and the interment made' in the family burying ground. News was received in the city yester day afternoon of the death earlier in the day of Mr. Herbert Diiton, son of Mr. H. V.
