the proposed improvement of Thor
oughfare Bay from Core Sound to
Cedar Bay, near the mouth of Neuse
j river.
I Major H. W. Stickle, Corps of
engineers, u. s. a., requests ail in
terested parties to be present at' the
time and place mentioned.
A preliminary examination for the
proposed improvement was ordered
in the river and harbor act, approved
March 4, 1913.
The front of the Star Theatre which
will be opened at an early date in
the building on Broad street now oc
cupied by Cohen's meat market, has
arrived and as soon as the structure is
vacated the work of making alterations
and improvements will begin.
Hollister & Cox, coal dealers, have
been awarded the contract, for furnish
ing the fuel used at the Federal build
ing during the fiscal year of 1914 which
begins on 'July 1. '
