One of the moBt disgraceful acts in a court of Justice that has ever fallen to our lot to record, developed itself on Wednesday upon, the trial of George Washington, indicted for the murder of Augustus Rohr. A special venire of one hundred and twenty-five had been -summoned for the trial of the case, out of which a jury was selected consisting of eleven colored men ana one white man. After the jury had been selected, the court ad journed for dinner, and upon re-assem bling, Mr. F. M. Simmons, of the firm of Nixon, Simmons & Manly, who were engaged in the proseoution, arose and and stated to His Honor that it had come their , knowledge that two of the jurors who had been selected for the trial of this cause, had answered im- George II. .now, Eeq. , - !
