G. C. Buchan, Supt. The pretty girls that are found in that school and their excellent singinir are enough to give any old hard shell a favorable impression of Sunday Schools, and a young man who cannot find a suitable companion among them must be a fas tidious creature indeed. Nearly all little towns, and big ones too, like to boast of a green grass cov ered platte of ground sometimes called a campus,- and sometimes called the village green or lawn, but our city fathers, in their wisdom, thought prop er to plow up our beautiful green car pet that covered some parts of our village streets.. Shouldn't be surprised if we find it set out in potato sprouts and planted inpumlcms when it rins. A party of the first part who came to the Springs to enjoy the waters and the refreshing hill-side breezes, after hav ing put himself outside of a week's board, started off and forgot to attend to the little duty required by all well regulated boarding houses, tie was served with a gentle reminder, how ever, by the party of the second, part, and after having tramped about two miles returned and fulfilled all due obligations. The workmen on the bridge feel that injustice was done them in an article last week concerning the work. The delay was unavoidable and no one was to blame. We can safely say that Mr. Ivey and those connected with him in the work are faithful to the trust re posed in them and will perform the work with as much dispatch as possible. No injustice was intended and we are glad to state that now the work goes bravely on. The Seven Springs Items we fear will have to be discontinued until the police force of our town is increased.
