Mr. Dawson had long been a true and faithful member of the Primitive Baptist church and was an exemplary christian. In his family he was one of the kindest of husbands and best of fathers, His life as a citizen was above reproach. A true christian, a loving companion and father and a peaceful citizen has died. His afflic tions were long and severe, but: "Servant of God, well douo ! Rest from thy loved employ:' The battle fought, the victory won, Enter thy Master's joy !
