It is sensible, and just such an endorsement as tna Uemocrats oi Craven oounty had a right to expect of their brethron outside. We assure the ChronUle that our movement is not for the purpose of endangering the present system of county government, but for the good of Craven county which is as deeply interested in good government as any county in the State: We are watching with much interest the progress of the movement in Crayen county where the Democrats have united with the better class of the Republicans to elect a coalition ticket. It is hoped by this means to give Craven good rep resentatives in the Legislature For many years this county, which in other days sent its ablest and beet men, has had representatives who nave not and could not secure any measure that the people desired. If the coalition move ment can give Crav, n creditable repre sentation and at the same time secure honest oountyiofficials, without endan gering the preaenf oounty government system, it will be the beginning of a movement that will give to the Demo crats in the counties where the negroes have large majorities some political hope We agree with the New Berne Jouknal that this movement in Craven ought to receive the support of the Democrats. It is an experiment at most. Good may, and we believe will, be accomplished it is well worth the effort. A Big Bond Call. Wawiinoton, D.
