Good repoils are corning in from all parts of the county of the prosperity of the schools and the acceptability of the teachers. The superintendent proposes to vary his supervision by addressing the parent and guardians of tba chil dren in each district, if he can get audiences, instead of visiting the schools, which are now largely inde pendent of this attention. At the meeting of the county board of education, on last Monday, the county treasurer reported the school fund, to be apportioned, as f 0,144.01. Of this amount 8344.51 were set off as a contin gent fund to meet ncoessary expenses, leaving $5,800 to be distributed among the schools. Under the last act Of the General Assembly 13,866 66, being two thirds af the whole amount, were apportioned as follows: White school children.
