SlLsuv, Troaa Arrested on Suspicion of Burning the Cotton Seed Oil Mills. Ever since the burning of tho cotton seed oil mills in this city, which oc curred March 37th under such circum stances as to exoita suspicion ol in cendiarism, detectives have been hard at work in trying to discover the guilty party. The investigations have been 3uiet and systematic, and late on Sator ay night led to the arrest of Noah Evans. 00 it) red, who was employed at the mills as day watchman. It will be remembered that the tire broke out in two separate buildings simultaneously on Sunday morning, March 27th, very soon after the night watchman left and the day watchman took charge. In vestigations made the day after the fire showed that the day watchman was not at tho mills at the time of the outbreak, having gone to his house to request an early breakfast. Previous to this he had received the mills in "good order" from tho night watchman. The detective work so far has been done by Wren's Detective Agency of Richmond. Newt and Obmrvtr. Stonewall Items.
