The Death of Fred'k L Haurork. The death of Mr. Hancock, though not unexpected, was still a severe shock lo his immediate family and friend. For several months be had been svfler inn from asthma and was frequently in greatly enfeebled health, but still there was thai lingering hope that the end was not so nigh, cheering the drooping spirits of those to whom he was so near and dear. At an early age he adopted the calling of a locomotive engineer, and in that capacity was for some years employed on the A. & N. C. It. it., and from his efficiency held a high position iu the es timation of the management of that corporation. He leaves a wife, mother und three sisters to mourn hit, death, to whom he was endeared by devotion as hus band, Ijving obedience as son, and kind and considerate attachment as brother, who have the sympathy of the entire community.
