Oar physiciani say that it is remarkably healthy in oar county. We hare 4 inmates at oar county poor bouse, 2 whites and 2 colored. The Trenton Alliance will meet at Trenton on Saturday, March 2d. The Traitors to the Fair from Jones say that it was a grand suc cess. Hen fruit appears to be very plentiful and sells here at 7 cents per dozen. Farmers are planting and prepar ing to plant large crops of oats and potatoes. The Commissioners will meet next Monday, March 4th. The Board of Education will meet also. Our farmers spend their time io summer destroying grass and when winter arrires spend a large portion of their time hauling bailed hay at high prices. Mr. R. L. May has had Mr. Gummings of Kin 8 ton, using the paint brush on his dwelling at Trenton. Mr. Cummings has cer tainly made a nice house of it. Money is scarce and hard to get with ns and we learn that the farmers are borrowing money this year instead of baring the mer chants ran them a they have been doing heretofore. The poatoffice excitement still continues at Trenton. We learn that a prominent colored man from Cypress creek is urging his claims for the office, and that the ferer is rising for the Polloksrille office, and that a prominent colored man from Polloksrille was at Trenton on (Saturday laat, looking lor a hole in the political fence to slip through in to the Polloksrille office.
