Mrs. Betsy Smith of Pink Hill town ship, died on Thursday, May id, of pneumonia, one was the widow or the late Job Smith of that township, and the mother of Isaiah Smith, who pre ceded her to the grave a week before. The municipal election Monday re sulted in the election of the entire Democratic ticket, notwithstanding the lukewarmness of many Democrats. For Mayor there were three candi dates A. T. Hill Democrat, W. A. Colemsn Republiosn and L. A. Mew- borne Prohibitionist. Mr. Hill received a mijority of 49 of all the votes caot. There was no opposition to the regular Democratic nominees for Aldermen. The ticket elected is, Mayor A. T. Hill : Aldermen First Ward. J. C. Woolen, Jr.; 8eoond, W. F.
