A fao-simil of the Vicksburg Daily Citizen of July 2d, 1863, has bean handed us. It was the last issue of that paper during the siege of Vicksburg by General Grant. It is Qve columns, on page, printed on wall paper and only on one side. In the first column are sev eral items of casualties that occurred on the lines, and several indications of short rations and much suffering. One item speaks in high terms of a ateak of Confederate beef that was sent the editor, which he relished very much notwithstanding it was known to be from the tender hind quarter of a mule. The meat of a cat was also pronounced delicious. The good deeds of citizens are also ohronioled. Mr. F. Kisr is specially commended for his generosity in divid ing nil supply of oorn among the needy in order to prevent starvation until the siege oould be raised. The extortioner is also condemned in severe language There, is considerable news from Lee's invasion of Maryland and Peon syivania, the euDstance of which was that Oen. Lee had given Booker, Milroy & Co., one of the best and soundest whippings on record. In the third column wo find this item: "On Dit That the great Ulysses the Yankee Generalissimo, surnamed Grant, has expressed his intention of dining in Vicksbuag on Saturday next, and celebrating the 4th of July by a grand dinner, and so forth. When asked if he would ask Oen. Jo. Johnston to join, ha said "No, for fear there would be a row at the table." Ulysses must get in the city before he dines in it. The way to cook a rabbit is, "first catch the rabbit," etc. At the bottom of the last column is the following: NOTE. July 4th, 1863. Two days bring about areat changes. The banner of tha Union floats over Tlcksburg. Gen. Grant has "caught tha rabbit," he has dined In Vicksburg, and be aid bring bis ainner with him. The "Citisen" Uvea to see it.
