' i - The Wilmington Star sav6: It is said that some of tbe Alliance men elected to the Legislature in Kan sas have resigned, alleging as a reason that they resent the system of espionage which has been es tablished by the Alliance to see how they vote on the Senatorial question. Perhaps these are some of the fellows who want to vote for IngalU, and don't like to be watched. The Raleigh Correspondent of the Messenger sayf : Your corres pondent carefully scrutinized the faces of the members ot the Legis lature last night and today. It is a good body, of earnest, settled men. Nearly every one is of mid die age. There aro remarkably few old men or young ones. They are uearly all country men and are well, though plainly, dressed. There are only three colored men in the House and one in the Senate. Senator Ingalls, !uait opposed to the who is at Force bill, w as recalled, by order of Senator Hoar, from bis canvass for re elec tion for no good whatever. As a natural consequence he is in no good humor either towards Hoar or the otner advocates of the Force bill. Ingalls intends to return immediately to Kansas to look after his "fences" and it is quite safe to predict that even should another attempt be made to revive the Force bill he will not, at least until after the Kansas Senatorial coutest t-hail have been settled, lespoud to any appeal in its be half.
