Cook, another great and gallant and one of the bravest Confed erate soldiers, has passed away. He died in Richmond at 4 o'clock yester day morning. In February, 1862, he was made Major and Chief of Artillery in the Department of North Carolina, and in the following April he was elected from that position Colonel of the 27th North Carolina regiment and Foreign Governments, editors and declaimers, have been attack ing the Constitution of the United States. This is dangerous to monarchal systems. The more the Constitution is presented to the people of oppressed Europe the more restless they will become under the tyrany of their masters.
