Stanly, L. Harvey, of Kiuston, and
Messrs. John Suggs and Dixon, of

Sullivan and Corbett No. I were On
the board Saturday night. A couple of
our yonng bloods were unwilling for New
Berne to be outdone by New Orleans, so
a "bout was arranged alter dark on the
banks of the Ncusc beneath the glimmer
of a powerful electric light. It was ba-
tween two light weights and required
only four rounds to decide the contest.

Berne which was on motion adopted.
On motion Commissioner Meadows, it
is ordered that no assessment for the
taxation be made against the. property of
the New Berne Sewerage Company for
1 802 because in its present condition it is
considered valueless.
Ordered, that the clerk of the Hoard

township No. ii to appear before this
Board on the first. Monday in October
and show cause why the road leading
from Hancock creek to liuaufort road
should not be rc-rstnblishtd as a public
road.
