To every teeming city, to town and vil- lage sent; To every shop and mine and farm the thrilling message went: ''We've got our old commander back he'll lend us once again!" We have won in the glorious fray, now shout aloud like men, Cho Now shout aloud like men, my boys, Now shout aloud like men; We have won in the glorious fray, now shout aloud like men; We've got our old commander back he'll lead us once again! Be up an 1 ready for the fray, and quit you there like men. He stands for nil that's dearest for which our fathers fought; For people's right to rule the land, for votes that can't be bought; lie stands for lower taxes, for gold and silver, too. For equal rights and laws for all for everything that's true; C!w For everything that's true, my boys, for everything that's true, For equal rights and laws for all, for everything that's true. He's for the civil service, and not for sham pretence; lie's for Ihe common people, and he's full of common sense; He's brave and level-headed, and it's his unchanging plan, Whatever be may think is right, to say it like a man; Clio To say it like a man, my boys, to say it like a man, Whatever he may think is right, to say it like a man. Our party knows no sections North, South or East or West; The bloody shirt and bayonet we heartily detest; We're dead against the Force Bill, but we're for the church and school, And everywhere and all the time we ad vocate home rule; Cho And advocate home rule, my boys, and advocate home rule, And everywhere and all the time we ail voeate home rule. We do not wish to regulate our neigh bor's hours or drinks. Nor do we want to interfere with what our neighbor thinks; Tho Constitution and the laws decide our every doubt. And we're always good and ready to turn the rascals out; Clio To turn the rascals out, my boy, to turn the rascals out. Then raise for G rover Cleveland a mighty, deafening cheer ! We'll hind him in the White House safe 4th of March next No I'inkerton detectives thi n to run our shops and mills; No billion-dollar Congresses w ith him to veto bills, Ce-VVith him to vi to bills, my b ivs. w ilh him to veto bills.
