Fair Committees Meet The ladies of the various Fuir commit tees met yesterday afternoon according to appointment at the residence of Mrs. John Dunn to take initiative steps to wards the holding of the Fair. Journal: It is greatly desired oy ninety-nine out of evSry hundred visi tors who attend our Fairs, that no horses and vehicles should bo allowed within the enclosure. ' The space is not larger than people on foot require, and to allow horses and vehicles in a space of ground always crowded by ladies and children is de cidedly wrong, it not reprehensible. The complaint among visitors has been great, and the comments I have heard on it more expressive in language more forci ble than polite. . i- A frightened and unruly horse rushing through the enclosure filled with women and chi dren would inflict terrible . in juries upon many,, and might result in loss of life, i ns writer once barely ..es caped being run over. . .It is the general wish that the Direc tors of the Fait will not again sell ' per mits -for the admissisn of horses and vehicles, and I think by discontinuing the practice the Fair will be benefitted by so increase of visitors. . .- - : Vism.v' : .. .- - DIED .
