ON COTTON EXCHANGE.
New York, Sept. 25. Cotton open
ed steady today at an advance of three
to ten points. There was continued
heavy liquidation and the market
soon eased off to within a point of
Wednesday's close. Support and
trade buying checked the decline at
the end of the first hour.
After a net loss of two to seven
points, the market steadied, and at
noon prices were a point or two above
yesterday's close.
