Mrs. Emmie Rogers Wade has returned to her home on Gimghoul
Road after spending several weeks in Brevard and Highlands.
Mrs. and Mrs. Henry W. Cheney have returned from their wedding
trip and are at home at the Village Apartments.
Hugo Giduz left Tuesday for Limestone College, Gaffney, South Caro
lina, to resume his duties on the faculty. *
Mrs. E. R. Mosher and Mrs. G. F. Shepard, who have been guests of
Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Grumman, have returned to Ithaca, New York.
Mrs. D. J. Maxwell and her son, Don Maxwell, of Johnstown, Penn
sylvania, recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Padgette, returned
to their home on Minday.
Miss Mildred Ann Disecker, dafighter of Colonel and Mrs. Ellis G.
Disecker of Raleigh, is a pre-medical student this year at the
University. j
Dr. and Mrs. George Culten returned last week from a two-month’s ^
vacation in Maine.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Patterson have returned from California. On the
trip home, they stopped at Berea, Kentucky, to see “Wilderness
Road.” Mrs. Patterson’s daughter, Judy, a former Vassar student,
is enrolled at the University this year.
Stanley Cohen, who is associated with the Crown .Oil Company in |
Baltimore, Maryland, spent the past weekend with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Cohen.
Mr. and Mrs. William Geer have returned from a trip to Michigan
and Cincinnati, Ohio, where they visited with Mrs. Geer’s sister.
Dr. and Mrs. John Graham and their children returned Sunday from
a trip to Michigan. En route they stopped in Washington, D. C., to
see Dr. Graham’s sister. Miss Rena Graham.
Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Bennett have returned from a vacation at Myrtle;
Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Molten and children of Glen Lennox returned re
cently from Mexico where Mr. and Mrs. Molton studies during
the summer at Mexico City College.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Beard have returned from a visit to their
family in Ohio.
Prof, and Mrs. J. d. D. Blain and their family returned last week from
a Caribbean cruise and a six-week’s stay in San Juan, Puerto
Rico. They returned by way of New York where they spent several
days before returning to Chapel Hill.
Mrs. Irene S. Rains, costume designer for the Playmakers, is back
from Manteo.
Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Long visited for several days last week with Mr.
Long’s family in Winston-Salem.
Jack Sanford, who managed the Fayetteville Highlanders during the
summer, has returned.
Paul Valentine has returned to Pennsylvania to resume his studies at
the University there.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Klingberg have returned to their home on White-
head Circle after spending the summer in California.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank W. Thomas of Omaha, Nebraska, arrived yester
day to spend a few weeks with their son-in-law and daughter,
Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Donovan.
