Following a luncheon at the Pines, the membership heard re ports for the past year from the President, Mrs. Curtis W. Hogan of the Orange Church community and Mrs. Jeter Lloyd of Antioch, the secretary-treasurer. There are 26 members of the market, which did a $27,000 business during the year ending September 1, 1954, ac cording to the secretary-treasurer. She said that the business total for the year ending this past Sep tember 1 had not yet been com puted, but it’s believed it will be higher than the figure for the previous year. Mrs. Amick Borland of the Elm Grove^ community, vice-president of tHe group; this pa'^’/em-E was elect ed as the new president, succeed ing Mrs. Curtis W. Hogan of Orange Church. Other new officers elected were Miss Martha Lloyd of Antioch, vice-president; Mrs. Nel lie Lloyd of Antioch, secretary- treasurer; and Mrs. Allan Latta of Schley, assistant secretary - treas urer; and Mrs. Allan I/atta of Schley, assistant seoietary-treasur- er. The group voted to set the open ing hour for the market at 8:30 a.m. throughout the year, to avoid the confusion caused in the past when it opened later during the winter months. Plans were an nounced for the coming year to of-1 fer a greater variety and better display of items in the market.
