The Weaver Gospel Singers and
their guests spent the Labor Day
weekend at the beach in Hampton,
Virginia.
Mrs. Carrie H. Clark of Pitts
burgh, Pennsylvania, was a guest
over the past weekend at the home
of Miss Bynum of Mitchell Lane.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Snipes, Sr.,

purchased. The church plans a
monthly “Family Film Night,” in
addition to the promotional and
teaching films.
“Family Missions Night” has
been organized and begun when
all the mission organizations have
their meetings. Bruce Moody, a
student of music at the University
of North Carolina has been added
to the personel as music director.
Mrs. John Booker, W.M.U. Presi
dent, has guided the young people
into a well-functioning G.A., R.A.,
had Sunbeam.
As the director of Training Un
ion, Thomas Sparrow, has led the

Press Institute to be held at the
University on September 30 and
October 1, it was announced today
by Walter Spearman, journalism

stitute. At the opening session on
Friday afternoon, Sept. 30, the
visiting high school students will
be welcomed by Dean Norval Neil
Luxon of the School of Journalism
MRS. GLENN BEST DIES
Mrs. Glenn Best, wife of Dr.
Best of Clinton, died Sunday from
injuries in an automobile accident
there. Funeral services were held
yesterday in Clinton. Dr. Best is
the son of Mrs. T. E. Best of
Chapel Hill.
