I the Peter Garvin Memorial Li-
I brary, reported to the board of
the first two months of the lib
rary’s operation under its first
full-time librarian. She said that
the library now has 1,784 volumes
but that the State recommends that
a school library have 10 books
per child. Since the Glenwood
School has an enrollment of 374
students this year, the library
should have a total of 3,740 books.
] The chief needs in the library
I now. Mrs, Ellis said, are additional
books for the first three grades in
the school as well as more books
in the science, history, and litera-
, tore sections. She also suggested
I additional reference books in na-

I This fall 18 bojoks have been
given to the library, some of them
coming through the birthday pro-

Some speak of a swan song—some sing Auld Lang Syne,
Some think it's their finish—to some, these are combined.
There are tw'o more games this season—one here, one a'way.
But for tfiany home folks-—Saturday will be their last day.
Down : Kenan ,Stadium wmy—’neath the true Carolina sky,
Shadeld by the pine trees—lengthening shadow's slow'ly die.
As thie sun beam.s dow'n upon us—and drifts into the west.
The si(?niors w’ill race the clock—in their last local test.
Let’s, put the past behind—forget “what might have been,”
And nealizc they tried .so hard and really W'anted to win.
Look ahead to Saturday and two hoims of fun
And when leaving, feel certain that “your job” is well done.
tVonh. you all join together—in a resounding ovation.
Sliare with these seniors a part of their heartfelt 'sensation.
Let them know it’s been great to have them—thank them too.
