He succeeds Walter Spearman of the School of Journal ism. Mrs. Robert Cadmus, chair man of the library committee of the Glenwood PTA, was elected a j member of the board. | Members of the board also voted | to select a plaque to be exhibited on the walls of the library indi cating that the library was estab lished as a memorial to the late Peter Garvin son of Dr. and Mrs. O. David Garvin. Harold Weaver and Manly Wade Wellman were appointed as a committee to work out plan.5 for the plaque. She said that the library now has 1,784 volumes but that the State recommends that a school library have 10 books per child. Since the Glenwood School has an enrollment of 374 students this year, the library should have a total of 3,740 books. ] The chief needs in the library I now. Mrs, Ellis said, are additional books for the first three grades in the school as well as more books in the science, history, and litera- , tore sections.
