The excursion train for Dalton, on the C. F. and Y. V. railroad fron tier, steamed away thia morning at 8 o'clock under the most favorable cir cumstances of "wind and weather. Beautiful day for the trip. The Old Pilot will smile benignly at a short distance, and beckon the engineer to come on. Conductor Sam'L Lineberry, who went nbm this county some years ago, and who now runs on the pas senger train ' on the Georgia Pacific, from Columbus, Ga., to Atlanta, via Birmingham, called on us this morn ing. He is on a brief visit to his pa rents in this county, being already in Charlotte. as a witness in a matter of railroad litigation, and expects to re turn Monday. We do not exactly see how it is that our confrere, Webster s Dollar Weekly, should credit the address of Judge Schenck, which it publishes in its last issue, to the North State cf this city. The Daily Workman print edit the day following its delivery, from Judge Schenck's manuscript, and if any credit could be claimed, It is Jue the Daily Workman, beyond any cavil.
