C, Campbell. Sad and Distressing Casualty. We learned yesterday,' "through , a friend who called at this office, of the sad affliction which came to the home of Rev. G. WV' Bowman, on the 20th ot December. One of his daughters, Miss Emma, "was alone in one bt. the rooms of the house, when by some 'means her fclqthing took fire. , Her sister Mary went to I 1 ... 1 ' r ner assistance una uscu every pusai ble endeavor to silbifue the flames in time, but tri yaiti, for after 8 hours of suffering Emma breathed her last. In addition to this very sad affliction, it is feared that Mary herself has lost the use of one of her hands from contact with the flames. The funeral of the deceased was to occur to-day.
