We whooped around prince Hen ry so when he was here that the prince of Wales has decided to ac cebt the invitation to come over -next fall and dedicate the magnifi cent chamber of commerce; and in all prbability, bring "de old 'er man' and de babies" along. The "prize fight" last week at Xiynn occurrea among tnat race ox 1 ... -1 people who still retain many of the essential appendages to pugilism i and other , heathen or bar barious traits of character -negros. This isj the only redeeming feature of the affair. None but uncultured peo ple c an afford to "fisticuff." The road "from the junction of Skyuka and Spring Mountain Park is soon to be put in good condition so that parties visiting the moun tain can return via Columbus. Now if I the road from Lynn to Columbus can be put in first-class condition, then we will have an ideal circuit drive from Tryon and returnno ner variety of scenery to be found i anywhere on the continent. From Sunset rock west, in the distance the eye sweeps over a grand moun tain panorama, with the pink-beds, IlL. T 'l. ' 'i ii m -i or i - axL. xriRgan ana ine iamous iuitcnei s Peak in view. From this1 view point the drive is continued along ' the west side of the mountain till the beautiful "Serpentine Drive," on the property of F. M. Stearns, is entered, which leads to the cool and delightful summer resort, Log Cab in' Inn. This pleasant home on the mountain at the head of the noted $hunkawakan Falls, is open during the summer months, where those who desiret rest; that is worthy of the name of rest, and" where this word means som thingrest from business, care, heat, pests and an noyance of most any and every kind can find perfect recuperation for. all wasted; brain and nervous forces. :' : r .. ,, . . . , , Railroad Meeting.
