The following cases were dis posed of last week on the crimi nal docket. Cas Saunders, damaging school 1 Mi house; not guilty. Ellis Walker assault; guilty, fined $10 and cost. Bill Denton disturbing public worship; guilty, fined $20 and cost. Luster Wilson, assault with deadly weapon; not guilty. Nesbitt Walker charged with murder. Verdict, manslaughter; sentenced five years in state pen itentiary. Walker takes an ap peal and is released on a $1,000 bond. John Jones charged with mur dering his wife, submitted to mur der in second degree; setenced fifteen vears in the penitentiary. E. B. Goelet in three cases, obstructing streets in Saluda; guilty, fined 1 penny and cost in each case. J. L. Thompson abstracting streets in Saluda, guilty fined 1 penny and cost. Van Rilding? affray; guilty, fin ed $25 and $20 of cost. J. W. B. Steadman, and Percy Steadman, affray, guilty; both discharged and Mr. Steadrrmn's payment of cost. Arthur McKinney and Dove Tony disturbing public worship, guilty; judgment suspended on payment of cost. State against Louis Scroggins in nos. 4, 5 and 6, retailing, pleads guilty ;fixied 50 in cases 4 5. In No. 6, six months on roads Execution of this sentence sus: pended for twelve months or dur ing good behavior, bound to ap pear from term to term to show good record. Geo.
