Mill Spring July 23. -Mrs W. ft Mitchell teftilast week for Marion, thence to Knoxoille Tenn. We wish her a safe and pleasant journey. - Mrs De Past, daughter and grandsons left, for Bat Gave last Saturday. May their stay there be pleasant. A Summer guests are beginning to fill the boading house at our place. There is stilt room for others so just come on. Miss M. V. Hague left last Sun day, will board at R. E. Wald rop's while she teaches the school at the Prince School House. A large crowd was in attend ance at Mill Spring church last Sunday- The Protracted meet ing is in session this week. Mrs. W P Edwards and three children spent several days with her mother Mrs Hague last week- MissDaisy Rucker is at home for the meeting this week. Miss Annie L. Waldrops among others will spend this week in and about, Mill Spring. A. Mr. Owens will tach a sing ing school at Mill Spring Babtist church soon. He is now teach ing at Poplar Grove. 'Mr. Hollis Hall, a young man of this community, departed this life last Monday night. Fever was the cause of his death. Lodge. The officers of the club are A. Lynch Hill, President; J. ElKs Pearson, Vice-president; W. C. Corcoran, Seceretary; J. Curtis Arledge, Treasurer. The move ment was started recently bv Rev. E.N. Joyner, to whom is due the credit for the formation of the club under such favorable auspices The following young men constitute the charter mem bers: Messrs. A. Lynch Hill, Albert Branon, Curtis Arledge, Geo. F. Hill, Mingus Justice, Fred Jackson, Clayton Pace, Cox Weaver, Joe Mills, J. E Pearson, T. Wigglesworth, M. C. Butler, Cam Livingston, C. S. EJlis Pearson and Miss Mag gie Moore of Pearidge were mar ried Sunday evening by Rev. Rufus Rhodes at the residence of the officiating Minister on Tryon mountain near Saluda. Mr. Pearson is a son of Capt. C. W Pearson formerly of Melrose, now residing near Green River. Mr. Pearson is in the mercantile business having purchased the business of A. H. Williams.
