Ar Connon, Democratic nominee for Leg islature of Henderson coun ty, delivered a series of poli tical speeches in this county during the week, beginning at Lynn Monday night with an address to the Democra tic Club at that place. N.C.-' HON. W. T. CRAWFORD Speeches were made at Big Level, Mill Spring and Green's .Creek, and the speak rs were received by large and enthusiastic audiences. A large number of people attended the speaking at Green's Creek, and a bounti ful picnic dinner was served. The day was of unusual in terest and importance in this Democratic strong hold. Chubb, of Winter Park, Fia., but who have been living in Tryon for the past year, died last Saturday and the body was sent to Fla., fo burial.
