Last Sunday at 9 30 a. m., near Silver Creek Church, an incident of considerable interest occurred, when Miss Girthie Constant be came the bride of Mr. Butlar Champion and Hiss Mae Constant became the bride of Mr. Fleming Jackson. This double wedding was some what of a surprise to the many friends of both contracting par ties, who sought to surprise their friends on the day of the bior r Baptising at Silver Creek and were very successful. The brides are the accomplish ed daughters of Mr, Rufus M. Constant of Walker, N. C. Mr. Champion is a son of the late and lamented W. C. Champion of Mill Spring, while Mr. Jackson is a son of Doc. C. Jackson of Col-linsville- Tho brides and grooms are young people of much popu larity in their communities, and their many friends wish for them lives of much happiness and pros perity- The ceremonies were perforat ed by the Rev.
