Superior Court opened Monday,
Judge Henry P. Lane presiding,
arid Solicitor A. Hall Johnston
representing; the State. An un
usually large crowd, notwith
standing the fact that the farmers
are nearly all of them backward
in their work, filed into aifd filled
the court room to hear Judge
Lane's able charge to the grand
jury, covering every point of the
law in relation to the light crim
inal docket presented.
Solicitor Johnston should be
very popular with' the jurists in
that he avoids useless repetition
of the points of his evidence and
sends the juries away with
clear minds, thus enabling them
to find their verdicts quickly.
