Registration will open on Friday afternoon at the Hotel Sir Walter, following a luncheon at the Gover nor's Mansion honoring chairmen and vice-chairmen who will attend a Party Conference Friday and Sat urday. The vice-president and Mrs. John son and their party will be greeted at the Raleigh-Durham Airport at U a. m. Saturday morning. The Pershing Rifles an a 100 - man Drum and Bugle Corps of the Army KOTC a N. C. State College, as well aa Governor Sanford and other dig ! nitarics will greet the Vice-Presi dent. Mrs. Johnson, women party lead ers, and the five women legislators will visit points of interest at N. C. State College. At 3:30 p. m. at the Hotel Sir Walter Mrs. Johnson will be honored at a reception. Special busses will run between the Hotel Sir Walter and the N. C. Fairgrounds beginning at 6 p. m. The program will begin around 7:45 and is expected to conclude at 9:30 p. m. following the main address by the Vice-President. Funeral services were held Tues day afternoon at 3 o'clock from Woodland Methodist church with the Rev. W. E. Howard, assited by the Rev. H. L. Harrell officiat ing. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery near Pink Hill. Survivors include his wife, the former Blanche Smith; four daugh ters, Miss Bertha Kr.'negay of Wil mington, Mrs. Bill Dixon, Atlantic Beach, Mrs. Carl Kome.fay and , Mrs. Florence Jernigan both of Al | bertson, route 1; one son, Milton !
