Presbyterian W of C Met The General Meeting of the Wo men of Grove Presbyterian Church was held on Monday night, in the Educational Building of the Church. In the absence of the present, who was out of town, the vice-president, Mrs. G. S. Hodges presided. The opening song was," Others," Mrs. L. Southerland conducted the De votional. The program was in char ge of Mrs. Ralph Barwick assited by Mesdames; N. B. Boney. Lloyd Feirell, Ralph Brown and Billy Stephens. The topic for discussions Twelve members were present, was, "Our Local Christian Unity." Airs. Vestal Hostess To Club Mrs. Ellis Vestal entertained the members of the Kenansville Kon tract Klub last Thursday night at 8:00. with Miss Lottie Williamson substittuing for one of the regu lar players. Mrs. D. S. Williamson compiled high score and was given an attractive trivet. Miss Williams was given a box of guest soap. A Jar of home made Jelly was presett ed to Mrs. N. B. Booey for consola tion. For refreshments the hostess served hot milk cake with peach ice cream and salted nuts. Eastern Star Met Past Matrons and aPst Patrons of Kenansville Chapter No. 215 Order of the Eastern Star were honored here on last Tuesday night at the regular bi-monthly meeting of the local chapter. The worthy Matron, Mrs. Florence Brown assisted by the Worthy Patron. A. C. Holland and the Conductresses presented a program entitled. "We Need You." Eight past matrons and two past patrons were present to charge these honors. A social hour follow ed at which time Mrs. Emma S. Lockamy refreshments chairman for this month served a sweet cou rse.
