SQUARE DANCING-WESTERN STYLE. To cap off a tremendous ly successful Poultry Jubilee at Rose Hill Saturday 109 square dancers exhibited their art to a most appre ciative crowd. Callers and teams came from Mount Olive. Goldsboro, Bentonvllle, Rocky Mount. Oct ober 18, bride - elect, of Au brey Jones, was honored with a miscellaneous shower on Fri day night, October 11, from eight until ten o'clock at tin; home of Mrs. Dallas Jones. The Jones heme was thrown ensuite for the occasion and ar rangements of red roses and dahlias were used throughout. Upon arrival Miss Bowman, the honoree, and Mrs. Frank Jones, mother of the groom, were presented corsages of red roses. Several games were directed by Mrs. Victor Parker and Mrs. Carl Jones and prizes were also given. Barden died Satur day night in Duplin General Hospital at KenansviUe after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the Magnolia Methodist Church Monday afternoon at 2:30 to be conducted by Rev. J. P. Pegg, pastor. Interment followed in the MagnoUa Ceme tey. She was a retired school tea cher after having taught for a number of years in the Duplin County School system. She is survived by one dau ghter Mrs. Francelle B.
