The Spalnish classes of East
Duplin High School met Thurs
day, OctoDer 24. 1963 in the
school cafeteria to organize a
Spalnish Club. The meeting was
brought to order and presided
by Miss Sandra Kennedy. She
told the group of tht three pro
jects for tht year. The Club
is going to Pedro's Spalnish
Restuarant in Fayetteville in
th middle of November, and
have a Spalnish Christmas, and
in the spring help Mrs. Anna -
Guy prepare a Spalnish supper.

goal in the last few seconds of
a five-minute overtime to de
cide the game. The team lost
to N.C. sate, tied Duke and
beat Belmont Abbey 9-2. The

FUSSELL FUNERAL
LucUn Marvin Fass ell, 46,
died Wednesday morning in the
Duplin General Hospital after a
Short Illness. He was a native
of Duplin County and a resi
dent of Rt. 2. Rose Hill.
Funeral services were con
ducted at 2 p.m. Friday at
Norman Memorial Chapel by the
Rev. E.F. Knight of the Corinth
Baptist Church in Teachey.
Burial was In Rockflsh Mem
orial Cemetery In Wallace.
Mr. Fussell was the son of
the late Willie James Fussell
and Eva Drew.
His survivors Include his wi
dow. Mrs. Ruby Fussell; one
son. Charles Fussell of Wal- 4
lace; one daughter, Catherine *
Fussell of Wallace; one brother,
Reggie Fussell of Burgaw; and
one sister, Mrs. Eldora John
son of Rose Hill.

ters. Mrs. Jerry Cottle, and
