Warsaw PTA To Sponsor Gala Harvest Festival The Warsaw Parent-Teacher Association Is sponsoring a - giant Harvest Festival on Fri day November 8th from 7 till 10:00 p.m. at the Warsaw Ar mory. This is the PTA's one big money-making project of the year ana It has been planned to offer plenty of fun and good food for everyone, young ana old in the community. The festivities will begin with a delicious chicken and pastry supper at the Elementary School lunch room. Plates wtllbe $1.00 for adults and $.50 for children all you can eat. Tickets can be purchased from PTA mem bers and will also be sold at the door. The supper will be served from 5 until 7;00 p.m. After supper the Festival will begin at the Armory at 7:00 p.m. Among the many forms of entertainment offered will be Bingo, apple bobbing, penny pit ching, dances 3 for 10#. fish ing for prizes, concession stand fortune telling, basketball throwing, a beauty booth, and a house of horrors! There will also be a Turkey Shoot and a cake walk, also a country store. Mrs. Ray West's 3rdgradeis sponsoring a peanut guessing - booth. There will be a large glass jar filled with peanuts on display down town on Wed nesday. Mrs. Mavis Brinson and Mrs. Wade Carlton will take the jar to different stores for the public to buy "guess sng chan ces." Each chance will be 10# Thursday and Friday the jar will be in Wilson's Food Liner. There will be a slip of paper in the bottom of the jar with die exact number of peanuts written an It. The only person who knows the number Is Mrs. Ray West. The jar will be In the booth at the festival from 7 until 9.-00 p.m. The p rlze will be $5.00 In cash and the peanuts In the jar. You do no: nave to be present to win. Each class will sponsor a Baby In the Beauty Contest. The cans with the Babies' pic ture on them are on display in various stores. Each vote Is a penny and the baby wlththe most votes will be the winner. This Harvest Festival needs your support so come out Fri day evening and join in the fun. MRS. HILL ENTERTAINS The Halloween motif was used attractively by Mrs. Seth Hill when she entertained members of the Baltic Bridge Club Thurs day evening at ner home at Baltic. Those enjoying the evening of bridge were Mrs. James Sutton. Mrs. Bob Blanchard. Mrs. Bruce Torrans. Mrs.? Clinton Rouse. Mrs. Winnie Da vis. Mrs. Thurman Gaster, Mrs. Helen Smith and Mrs. Graham Register. During the social hour, the hostess served Cokes and - pumpkin pie and during play Halloween candy and party cra ckers. When the scores were com piled gifts were presented to Mrs. Sutton. Mrs. Gaster and Mrs. Register. "MISS NORTH DUBLIN" Miss Pamela McCullen. Pam lives with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McCullen, Faison, N.C. She Is 17 years old. a Senior at North Duplin High School, she is a member of National Beta Club, Marshall. Varsity Queen, and plays Basketball. "MISS HOBBTON" Miss Amte, Rose McCullen. Annie Rose lives with her parents Mr. and Mrs. J.H McCullen.
