CHRISTMAS PARADE CALLED OFF I The Christmas parade sched uled for 2:30 P. M. Saturday at Pink Hill was called off be cause of the inclement weather. There were about 29 Beauty Queens to be sponsored by the various business firms and civic organizations, in andf" near town. Expressions of dis appointment at the call-off were heard everywhere. CLOVER LEAF 4-H HAS CHRISTMAS PARTY About 20 members attended Clover Leaf 4-H club Christ mas party in the Sunday School rooms of the Christmas ChSpei Church, on Pink Hill, Route 1 Thursday night, December 12. Betty Carol Tyndall is presi dent cf the cluj. The rooms were decorated in the holiday motif. Games were played and a number of prizes awarded. The group sang a number of Christmas songs. LUCKY LEAF 4-H CHANCES MEETING TIME Terry Ward, president of the Pink Hill Lucky Leaf 4-H club, announces that the time of meet in? has been changed from the Third Thursday to the third Tuesday in each month due to a conflict with those taking dancing who are also members of the club. The December meeting win be held December 17, at the home of Rebecca Sheppard in Park Circle. LEWIS KAY DANIELS ? Lewis Ray Daniels, SZ, died in N. C. Memorial Hospital at Chapel at about 1 p. m. Turn day. He was a resident of Al bertson Route 1. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m Wednesday from Edward's Chapel with Rev. Lawrence Sharp, Baptist, of Kenansville officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Memorial Park at Pink Hill. He is survived by his wife.
