Emblem Points To Kingdom Building" was the Title of the program presented when the Womans Auxiliary of Rooty Branch Chu rch met in the home of Mrs. Leslie Bell Friday. Last spring in the N. C. State Auxiliary Convention a new emblem was adopted as the of fical emblem of the Womans Auxiliary. The Womans Auxili ary Colors are silver, royal blue, and Carolina Blue. It was pointed out that the emblem is a challenge to greater giv ing, greater service, and grea ter devotion. Mrs. Cyrus Rhodes and Mrs. E. J. Summerlin were elected delegates to represent the Aux iliary at the State Convention to be held at the Beulaville Free Will Baptist church in March. The hostesses Mrs. Andy W. Ivey and Mrs. Bell assisted by Janice Bell served coffee and cherry pie topped with ice cream to 15 members during the social hour. SUMMERLIN HD CLUB "Furnishing your Home on a Shoestring" was the title of a demonstration given by Mrs. Perry Grady House Furnishing Leader at the February meet ing of the Summerlin's Home Demonstration club, held at the home 'of Mrs. Elbert Whitman Thursday. When a home or apartment is being furnished the a mount of money to be spent should be considered. The most essential peices of furniture and appliances should be selec ted with a definite color plan in mind, so that other items may be purchased later to har monize. Mrs. Carl Ivey gave a report on education and the Southeast ern District meeting held in Cumberland County. Mrs. D. L. Cherry .'ported on health and suggested that each member get a chest X-ray and Physical examination. There were ser veral other projects planned for the club to participate in dur ing the year. Mrs. Eddie Goodman was in charge of the devotional and Mrs. E. J.
