Strickland ac companied Mrs. Floyd Strick land's twin granddaughters, Ca n* and Car an Cooper, to Athens Georgia Monday where they will be met by their mother. Mrs. Ben F. Cooper, to fly to their new home In Monroe, La. Ca na and Car an had been spend ing several weeks with their grandmother while Dr. and Mrs. Cooper were settled in their new home. February IT. 1966. for the annual Eastern Association Y.W.A. Banquet. The theme for this year's ban quet was "Committed To Wit ness." Catherine Buck of Warsaw, First welcomed each Y.W.A. member and counselor. The Y.W.A. hymn. "O Zion Haste" was then sung. The Invocation was given by Ellen Rouse of Magnolia. After the Invocation every one enjoyed a delicious meal consisting of fried chicken, po tato salad, pickles, deviled eggs, rolls, Iced tea and cake. The roll call of churches was given by Fran Br Ice of Poston. Approximately severty Y.W.A.'s and counselors at tended the banquet. f.lHopt f.lKtnn of Tohn?on'a presented the special music. Edith wells of Rose Hill thanked Mrs. Simpson and all others who had helped to make the banquet a success. The meeting was closed with all Y. W.A.'s and counselors repeat ing the Y.W.A. Dedication.
