ofthe plant, especially the un
dersides of the leaves to con

aphlds, red spiders and lace
bugs.
All Insects have a life hls

undergo changes which may oc
cur In four stages.- egg, larva
pupa and adult, or, In three
stages; egg. nymph and adult.
The larva and nymph stages
are usually the most destructive
?lthough the adult stage may
?lso be destructive.
In the case of fungus disea
ses, It Is necessary to keep the
plants protected at all times.
These diseases, represented by
various leaf spots of roses, ap
ples and many other pi?nf?
produce spores. These spores

These simple examples
should serve to show how Im
portant It Is to keep your plants
protected at all times. Many
People seem to think that one
or two sprayings during the
growing season are all that are

battle against insects and di
seases Is never-ending. For
this reason It Is best to follow
a regular spray program for
all of your ornamentals, fruits
?nd vegetables.
There are many effective sp
ray chemicals available --
some for sucking Insects, oth
ers for Insects that chew their
tood and some combination ma
terials which are effective a
galnst both types.
Mix all materials according
to Instructions given on the
containers. This will insure
proper concentration, observe
safety measures.- by not In

dren and pets, observe residue

table crops by using the dif
ferent chemicals as recom
mended.

Benefits to full-time students
under the veterans program
ranges from $100 per month
for single veterans through $160
for veterans with two or more
dependents.
Veterans should apply early
for their Certificate of Eligi

the Registrar's office.
