This letter Is being sent to
all of the people in our city.
We want to ask for your help
and your cooperation in our
Clean-up ana Beautiflcatlon
Project.
We are proud of our town -
our churches, schools. Industry
- but we feel there is room
for a great deal of improvement
We go about our business every
day and fall to see, as a visitor
does, the unmowed grass, the
dirt in our street gutters, our
sidewalks grown up In grass,
weeds growing around ana back
of our buildings in the heart of
town, the unkept vacant lots,
the litter, etc.
Will you help us? Take a walk
around your property and look
at it as a stranger would. Do
you have some rubbish that
needs to be disposed of, a
garbage can that should be kept
away from the street, a side
walk that needs cleaning?
If you have some ideas to help
us in this project, we would
greatly appreciate them. Con
tact us by writing directly to

Clubs, Warsaw, North Carolina.

THANKS FOLKS!!! j
FOR YOUR SPLENDID RE- I
SPONSE TO THE APPEAL l
FROM THE CIVIC CLUBS FOR 2
CLEAN-UP WEEK. ?
The fine spirit of coopera- A
tlon which the people of this |
town have shown reflects the ?
progressive attitude which has A
put Duplin County on the move. |
Clean-up week was the first J
step In the Garden ClubCouncU J
Beautlflcatlon program for I
Warsaw. This splendid drive J
In the projected program was |
really the easiest, for folks ?
who care will cooperate. Now 3
comes the really difficult tasks, |
beautifying the Railroad right- J
of-way, eliminating the tumble 1
down shacks that clutter our |
towns, doing something to make J
a more attractive entrance to j
our town and other projects I
that will help to make Warsaw J
known as the town that really |
cares. |
This will take a lot of work a
and a lot of cooperation. Each |
person should ask himself "is ?
It my property, my business, *
my vacant lot, my Investment ft
property that Is helping to make !
a bad impression?" and then i
be sure that It Is not.
There Is much to be done J
but with the cooperation of all a
the civic clubs, the Mayor and 1
Town Board that are working A
hard to help, and united effort |
from all citizens IT CAN BE |
DONE. Remember the rhyme f
"What kind of a town would our I
town be, If every citizen were \
