Blanch ard and Miss Mary Lou Wllkins attended a Guilford College Alumnae meeting in Golds boro last Fri day night. The meeting was held at Wilbur's Barbeque House on Highway 70. A bountiful buffet dinner was served those pre sent. Mrs. Eimtly T. Neale, Mr. and Mrs. David Culver and son, Neale Culver, of Richmond were week end guests of Mrs. O. A. Teachey. He had surgery on Friday and is doing very well. Mrs. Wells and their daughter, Mrs. Cecil Evans of Elizabeth town, are with him. Mr. Charles Cottle Is con fined to bed at his home here. Charles spent several weeks In the Veterans Hospital InFayet teville before Christmas and Is having a recurrance of some of his old troubles. We hope he will soon be well. Mrs. Lindon Southerland is a patient in Cape Fear Hospital In Wilmington and is getting along well after surgery for cataracts. Rev. D. A. Petty Is still sick and has been ordered to stay In bed for six weeks. His friends are thinking of him and praying for his recovery. Mrs. C. L. Falrcloth, Sr., has been in bed for several months but is Improving. She was able to sit on her porch in the sunshine this past week, which is a good step forward for her. We nope she will soon be able to be out more. , Mr. L. C. Usher of Route 1, is in the Clinton Hospital. The 210 representatives at the meeting came from all the chur ches In the Presbytery. The speaker for the occasion was the Chaplain at Camp Lejeune. Mt.
